After graduating high school in 2016, I joined the US Army and spent three years living on the island of Oahu. After getting out of the military once my first contract was complete, I decided to try working in sales for two years which left me feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied with my work. After weighing out my options, I figured the best course of action would be to go back to school and to pursue to my Bachelors in digital design and media. I find the expressive aspect of digital design to be a great outlet and find the work to be relaxing and satisfying as I take a great pride in attention to detail. Everyday I strive to learn something new on this subject and know that with more practice and experience I will have all the tools necessary to take on any digital media project
Interests:
I like to spend free time on my computer where I like to do courses on Udemy.com to reinforce different skills in the direction of the career I am trying to get to. My favorite types of courses to take are definitely Unreal Engine and Unity courses where it walks you through the different components in making a video game because I feel learning by doing is a very effective way to learn. I have a life long passion for video games and it would be a dream to be able to create a game of my own. Outside of that, I love to work out, hang out with my dog, 3D print stuff, and play basketball so if any office basketball teams need a guard, I'm your guy!
Goals:
Ultimately, I hope to be able to join a solid development team with a great company that will allow me to also pursue my personal endeavors in creating my own games as well as starting my own business selling products made on my 3D printer. If one day, I am able to support myself with my own creations or if my 3D printing business takes off then that will be a dream come true. Until then, I hope to be able to add meaningful work out into the world.
